I have a small headlamp which I can use:
1. If I break down, to see what I'm doing,
2. As a forward lamp with low, high and flashing modes,
3. As a red tail lamp with solid or flashing modes.

It's USB chargeable, so I can charge it off the dynohub whilst riding if necessary.
