Rolling feet on a lacrosse ball, using toe spreaders, holding deep squats, and stretching calves and soleus will solve this. But takes TIME! Modern society says fix me now, give me a pill and make it easy, I don't have time.

Most doctors say wear clogs like Dansko. They have a huge heel to toe drop which shorten the tendons and fascia.... Making the problem better short term, but worse long term. Especially for athletes.


I get what you're saying. Never going barefoot wasn't the only treatment he offered. She wore the boot, at night, and did the stretching and exercises, too, and he showed her what to look for in everyday shoes. It was the polar opposite recommendations that I questioned.
