1. I don't think there was much sacrifice in power. It felt pretty good.

2. No S shapes. Housing went from the canti levers to the tops of the non-aero road levers, and then from the bottoms of the road levers to the brakes. The road levers were mounted as for moustache bars, on the front of the whole thing.
