So, I want to buy a new bike, since I have always rode used bikes or cheap Walmart bikes and decided that I want to invest in something new, modern and fast.

I would want a CF frame, 11 speed with either a full or compact drive rings, probably disc brakes (but no sure), with strong wheels for my 220 pound frame (not much weight to lose, I am not a little guy) and capable of doing "A" group rides.

Budget (hopefully) under $5,000...

Current bike is a CannonDale SuperSix and I like it but it is already 3 years old and is going to need many parts replaced, so I thought I could sell it before the expensive parts wear out.

Serious question posed to you guys and hoping for serious responses. I am not too brand loyal, so please offer a suggestion and why it would be a good first new bike.

I really like the Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/tc...ced-pro-1-2018 but thought I'd ask here since it is basically similar to my CannonDale
