Yeah the XTR brakes are pretty nice and Shimano is awful proud of them ($$$$$$$$).. I searched pricing for the XTR M9000 Race and will use Shimano XTR SM-RT99 Rotors. Total price = $495! =

I found the rotors on sale at Amazon for $50 each so I'll probably snag those now and keep looking for sales on the XTR M9000's.
I'll ask the silly question

Why don't you get XT brakes instead of XTR?
