Funny, never seen a roadie with that style, but if it works for you, then OK.
I use something like that but larger for heading into the mountains on my road bike and for commuting.
I flip it to my backside and secure with a hip buckle.
It rides low on the hips, which keeps it aero and center of gravity lower than a Camelbak or backpack.
