If you don't want padding there are actually hundreds and hundreds of fingerless glove options available to you.
I have gloves like this that I love for certain kinds of riding
No padding on the palm at all, but hard plastic shells over your knuckles. They are designed for military use when you might be running into a concrete building with a rifle and can easily get knocked around and scraped up.
But they are GREAT for my bike commute when I'm often riding on the far right side of the road and random branches can often be sticking out and thwack my hands. These will take a 2 inch wide tree branch at 15 mph in stride.
Or...you can buy literally any glove on the planet that you like and cut the fingers off. That really opens up your selection of materials and styles.
