That sounds like a really cool feature. Any missteps in the guidance, such as less than safe routes, locked gates or private properties? I have the 800 and looking to justify the upgrade to 1000.
A few years ago in Kauai, lots of roads on Google map or MapMyRide were actually private roads that were inaccessible.
It's used a road and a trail that were closed for construction. That could happen with any mapping tool, though, especially when I haven't updated the maps in the device.
Last weekend in Bellingham one of the roads I was supposed to take was closed, so I couldn't make my turn, it rerouted on the fly and got me back to the loop I was supposed to follow.
Haven't had any trouble this way with private property.
