Heh. I see it too often. Last time I did I told the guy that he needed a new pair of shorts. He was actually appreciative. Some people honestly don't realize it, but others are simply cheapskates.


Back in 2002, during the first day of my first ever Cycle Oregon, a woman I had never seen before passed me. As she did, she said something like. "Wow. You must have had those shorts for a long time." She was correct, but I couldn't figure out how she could know that. After about a minute it dawned on me. After I finished the day's ride, showered and changed, I stretched the back of my shorts to inspect them. Into the trash they went.
