It's accurate enough for my purposes. Riding around town I notice that each city block is .1 mile long, so I'm guessing it's accurate enough. And riding from mile section to mile section out in the country it appears to be pretty accurate, since our intersections are normally every mile.

How do you know your BIL's bike computer is set accurately? If the sensor is set at a wrong spot on the wheel it could be off one mile after a 20 mile ride.
