What's especially great is how easily wide tires can hum even without knobs. Sufficiently-supple tire setups sometimes sing on the road surface, but with narrow tires this often requires going as fancy as latex tubes. My 53mm Rat Trap Pass ELs are loud even with butyl tubes installed, and they can hum much lower frequencies than narrower tires can, including on rougher roads than narrow slicks can be gotten to hum on. People have told me before that my gravel bike sounds like a truck coming up from behind.
Probably a thread-relevant bicycle, when I take it to road group rides.
