Bike lane stripes went on the street in front of my workplace last week, then a few days later a crew was bolting bollards to the road. Yesterday a car was parked in between two bollards in the bike lane... an undercover police officer! I said as I passed, "it's illegal to park here". I looked back and he was moving.
The bollards are a nice thought, but all I can think of is that when there's snowfall, the snow will be plowed into the bike lane, leaving the now-16-feet-narrower street for me to ride in.
