I'm a happy camper as I still will have a source for my Japanese roadbike rebuilds. Here is a picture of my caliper measuring the wrenching size on the new nipple.

Late to the party but the aluminum nipples recently supplied with Spaim CX-Ray spokes through Danscomp.com were 3.5mm. Kinda surprised me as I got really used to that black Park Tool wrench. Might be a faster way to get what you want next time.
