Calling T-Mar (and anyone else with some clues!
I picked this up several years ago (about 10) in Miami. It came with steel rear track dropouts that I assume someone was going to attempt to weld into place... I am finally getting around to considering having the frame fixed but want to see exactly what I have first.
What I know so far:
- The drop tube shifter bosses area has markings like they were filed off
- the BB is Italian threaded
- The serial number is 0875
- It has the heart cut out under the BB shell
- It has under BB cable routing
- The top tube brake cable routing are singular roundish, not the typical two hoops
- The seat stays at the seat cluster have the Benotto pantographing
- The brake bridge is not set up for a recessed nut
- The seat tube under teh seat cluster has the outline of the removed sticker
- The lugs have the triangle cut out in them as pictured
I have seen similar lugs on and sticker on a 1980 Benotto 1500 here:

I tried to get Michael Terrafirma in Miami to braze on the fixie dropouts when I lived in Miami and when I rode fixie... but he said whomever removed the original dropouts removed too much material. I now live in the Orlando area near to Jonathon Green who builds and I'm thinking about having him take a look at it next, but going back to a road bike...
Here are the pics of mine...
