the Ice Toolz headset cup tool at least is USELESS
I was about to post a new thread about my frustrations with Ice Toolz this week, but I'll piggy back onto this one.
their headset cup removal "rocket" is USELESS. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. it "looks" like the real deal but I have wasted hours and hundreds of whacks at my pressed HS cups on several frames, tilting the tool to various angles trying to get some bite. I've spread and even filed the blades....and NOTHING. 97/100 times the cups don't even move.
in utter frustration last night I borrowed a friends Park Tool rocket and Bang Bang, 2 blows and the cups were out.
(Now on the other hand, I do like the Ice Toolz 15mm and whatever the other side is, the box wrench side for removing BB spindle nuts. THAT is a handy must have tool (but then it's kind of hard to screw up a basic wrench. The combination though of pedal wrench and BB nut tool in one smallish package is handy.)
