I also recently came across this table from Mavic and actually asked them why their new tubeless rims shipped with tire widths that violated the own table and Mavic's reply was this table does not apply to tubeless. I just purchased Mavic's new Open Pro UST (tubless compatible) rims which state a 28mm MINIMUM tire size on a 19mm internal width rim. Then I also saw HED's recommended tire size of 23mm on a 25mm width rim so either MAVIC or HED have major differences of opinion on this or perhaps the tubeless profile on the Mavic rim does something weird for narrow tires. But I'd love for either company to clarify under what circumstances these rules apply now that there are disc brakes and tubeless tires around.
