Motorist and cyclists ALL make mistakes on the roads. You were correct to assume someone was going to make an error.... you can plan on repeated errors by others.. AND by yourself. I don't think there were any attempt to kill/murder you.... traffic is like that on a bike sometimes.
Calling names is pretty childish... we've all done it... but not something to be proud of either. It's great you kept your cool.
Traffic can be harrowing at times. This can keep some from enjoying road cycling. I hope you can learn to set the scary part aside... and just enjoy the ride.
