It appears not to be bent after all. Must have been the angle of the original pic, combined with the relatively steeper angles of the 74 PX10s.

Clear coat? NO, no, no.
Just polish it up with some fine compound and wax it. Touch up as needed if desired.

IMO it's better to do a complete refin, or keep and clean the original finish. Make your choice based on current condition and desired use.
