I've ridden the Hudson path (not sure if it has another name) a couple of times now after 9pm, from Pier 40 to Hudson Yards, following a soccer game. Luckily I'm pretty tired from the game so I'm really taking it easy, but I also found that in the unlit areas it's very tough to judge certain things. I've also found that bikes with really bright lights seem to blind me, like a car with it's high beams on.
