1976 FUJI Grand Tourer: Any comments/Experience?

Hi There,

I just picked two vintage FUJIs (see ATTACHMENTS below) at a reasonable price. The two bikes sizes are 19 & 20, both are unmolested i.e have their original parts including saddles. They seem to have been bought at the same time as they have the local county's bike registration for the same date! I searched the forum to see if there has been any discussions regarding this specific bike, unfortunately, I couldn't find much except for a couple of mentions here and there as part of unrelated discussion.

I would appreciate hearing from any of the members here who have or used to own one of this bike. Most importantly I would love to hear your experience in attempting to refurbish the bike. I wouldn't mind hearing from you if this is just one of the many crappy bikes that are not worth putting any additional $$ in them and are useful for learning how to repair bikes!

The two bikes are in very good condition - so far the tires seem to hold air (of course will need to be changed at some point), all other parts seem to function as normal and are original. However, there are a few minor paint chips and rust that may need to be addressed if they are worth that much! Any significant upgrades would depend on carefully evaluating your feedback.

Thanks,
