I was actually off pain meds entirely for 2 days before the surgery. Night after I took a couple of Percocet. Yesterday I was just taking OTC stuff until the evening when things got pretty sore.
Was making it through the night okay until I had a dream that I was racing Cleave in a crit on some weird slippery gymnasium like floor. I was sliding out and had to put my foot down. I jerked my leg in my sleep and holy cow did that hurt.
Had a second dream where I jerked my leg and I was back on the Percocet. Then a third dream. Me and my subconscious are going to have to have a long talk.
I'll need to reread my Vonnegut. In the meantime Milo Minderbinder has cornered the market on Egyptian ladders...
