I managed to take the Grandis out this morning.

The proverbial "they" had predicted a slight chance of showers but the weather looked clear when I started. In fact we were hoping to do another short tandem ride and then go apple picking with our neighbors. But first, the bike ride...

At one point I stopped briefly to check the radar map. Hmm, it showed a pretty big band of green stuff (not money, alas) out beyond I495. I thought maybe if I headed back a bit early I could beat it. By the time I got to Lexington the sprinkles had started. I thought maybe if I took the shorter route through Follen Heights I could beat it. Then it started raining. By the time I got to Waverley Square it was raining steadily. I though maybe if I just enjoy being wet I can't get any wetter.

Now I have to clean up the bike. But I did get in 30.5 miles. It looks like apple picking is off the table.
