As a kid and young adult, my first few bikes were Schwinns. I'm beginning to think that my last will eventually be one. I've been watching them on Ebay, and I've seen a few 50th anniversary Paramounts over the past few months. I wish more would use the Buy It Now feature on exceptional items. I had my hopes up on an item and lost it with only 3 seconds to go. Ever since then, I don't even bother with the bidding, I just use Buy It Now and pay the price.

The Paramounts on this page sure do remind me of the early Raleigh Professional. Similar geometry, partially chromed stays and forks, and almost exact fork rake (not to mention the hi-flanged hubs).
Thanks; I saw the Paramount and immediately knew I had to have it. I have a couple of Schwinn Traveler's also, and if you see one of those available for a good price don't turn your nose up at it. They have a very nice ride and a nice look also. For old school stuff, all the Schwinns are highly underrated in my book.
