Thanks. Exploring/trail blazing and writing about the state of mountain biking in 1990s Virginia was truly a labor of love. In >90% of the cases, I met with pretty much total ignorance when talking to public land managers with Mount Rogers NRA being the very notable exception. I should say that I don't mean ignorance as a pejorative but in terms of having no idea that anybody would or could ride a bicycle in state parks and national forests. Mountain biking sure has come a long, long way in 20 very short years....
