In general, whenever post and seat tube fit is an issue, the preferred solution has always been to modify the post, unless you have access to a proper reamer....which most people don't.
Aethesthetics lol. It's my gravel grinder/cross pit bike. A shim glued to the seatpost sticking above the clamp looks half assed while an internal shim isn't obvious
