I'm skeptical of the Soma Xpress tires' suppleness. Their page describes them as an urban tire with sidewall protection... I wouldn't be surprised if Paselas are a quicker and nicer ride.

this post, the casing fabric in Compass' "Extralight" tires uses the same threads as Panaracer's 120TPI casing, but in a sparser layup. It's not explicit about what the "Standard" tires use, but seems to imply it's probably the 120TPI casing.
