We got 3-4 days of "hey, maybe the weather is changing," then apparently someone remembered Halloween is right around the corner and cranked the heat back up. It was 102º yesterday, and Sunday is the first day forecast to be below 90º. I rode at 6pm last night, after it had dropped to a balmy 96º. The weather report looks something like this:
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM PDT Wednesday...
* high temperatures... 90s near the beaches and for the far inland valleys... and 100 to 108 elsewhere for coastal areas into the western valleys.
* Winds... .areas of northeast winds 25 to 35mph with gusts to 55mph. Isolated gusts to 65 mph. Winds will not be quite as strong nor widespread for tonight into Wednesday morning with areas of northeast to east winds 15 to 25mph with gusts to 45mph.
That's right folks-- +100º with 25-35mph winds. That's how we do autumn.
