at an Urbanista Classico for sale locally for $200. Seller has had it for 1 year and claims to have paid more than $200 for it. He doesn't know the age and claims that it is a "rather rare model" withShimano ALTUS twist shifting. Has some wear but not worn out." He also states that similar models have sold on eBay for $1000. Any suggestions? I'm a Trek and Fuji guy who knows nothing about this bike.
Is this the bike? I believe 'more than $200', but I don't believe $1000.

Altus is nothing special, it's at the mid-lower end of Shimano's MTB hierarchy, should be very dependable. Maybe comparable to Tiagra in the road lineup? I'm not sure.

Personally I hate twist shifters. Some people like them, but more people don't.

That bike looks like it would make a very servicable commuter. I like the built-in rack and fenders. Might want to extend the mudguard dangling from the front fender, to better protect feet from spray. Is that a tail-light integrated into the rear fender, or just a reflector? (Could be removed and a light installed there?). The 1x with the chainguard is nice too.
