I'm almost totally on the peak of a hill. I'm at the peak north/south-wise, but not east/west wise. So Irene flooded my basement and almost killed my water heater and furnace, and taught me to keep the drain clear and a pump handy. It also taught me that water from 2 or 3 of my neighbor's yards drain through my yard.
