Isn't that just the non-return valve, which every floor pump is supposed to have? Topeak JoeBlow has it in the same location (https://cdn.topeak.com/global/storag...448937a557.jpg). Better pumps typically make their non-return valves serviceable. They are accessible under a screw-on cap at the base of the pump.
