Thank you all for chiming in. What muddy the water is that I just replaced wheels with nice mavic,, which have new hubs that would take wider cassette; 2 years ago I had to replace shifters, so there are lots of replacement/upgrades that already happened. I was looking to swap to shimano m4000, but may be it is not worth it.
