40 miles in beautiful weather, almost too nice! Today I downloaded two maps for the upcoming Horrible Hundred in Clermont, which is just two weeks away. I think it's about 4,500 feet of climbing on the 70 mike loop. If I'd been able to maintain my August and September pace, 100 would be on my radar, but I'm not sure just now. Lots of riders, and a surprising contingent from Gatorland.
I take it you have ridden in Clermont and ridden up Sugarloaf? If you haven't, it will be a very good challenge. The last time I went up Sugarloaf, I had to walk about 1/4 of the way up because I made the dumb mistake of slowing down to check on how a friend was doing.
