Just curious. I'm working on my '66 Paramount restoration and want to go back from the tubulars (that the second owner installed) to clinchers. Are you running 27 inch rims or 700c? I talked to Peter White (a wheel builder here in NH) and he thought I was foolish to use 27 inch rims despite the fact that is what originally it came equiped with from Chicago. Thanks for your's and any other thoughtful suggestions!

My thoughts on that are that unless you are restoring the bike with the original rims, 700c isn't a bad idea. More rims to choose from (new ones, anyway), and also a better selection of tyres. If you do it, be sure your brakes will reach.
It's not blasphemous if the rims are already non-original, is it?
