Positron -> shimano's early attempt at indexed shifting. Indexing was in the derailleur, not the shifter.

Front Free -> the freewheel is built into the bottom bracket instead of the, well, freewheel. so you could shift while coasting.

Uniglide -> uniglide. Cassette precursor to Hyperglide. among other things, instead of a cassette lockring, the smallest cog was the lockring.
