I recently installed 30 year old NOS silks on my 83 Colnago Super. I have stored these since purchase and they show no deterioration. They ride great, but I have to admit that I am worried about the latex tubes (may end up replacing them). Side walls can be "painted" with latex emulsion. I use the stuff that is sold in hobby shops for mold making.
