Well today was my first commute in on it since the "rehabilitation." I definitely took out most of the stretch, in fact it is very nearly un-broken-in. We'll have to see how it feels after another hundred miles or so.

I treated it with Kiwi "Mink oil" for waterproofing. Good thing too, since I just realized I forgot to cover it again . And it's really wet out there, kinda misting not exactly raining.
