I walk a lot also. I try to tally about 15 miles each week along with my 80 to 90 miles of riding. On wet days I up the walking mileage and side-line the bike. Now that cold weather is upon us I move some of my riding indoors on the cycle machine and work out in the gym also.

What I really miss are my cross country ski days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during my college days. I used to race nearly every weekend and they'd have City Races two times a week at night in the local cemetery, yep, the cemetery! I often went out and hit the groomed ski trails late at night logging in about 20k on the long loop. The serene and silent night skis in the north woods were my time to meditate and take stock of my life. I really miss those night skis.
