Can't be sure of that. He may have the time and space and funds to indulge himself, keeping the real goodies for his own collection and getting rid of everything else. I'm not saying that's the case, but it's better than thinking that he's also stripping and churning the nice bikes.

I have a buddy like that. He's crazy about bikes but knows practically nothing about them and can't differentiate good from bad. He practically lives on the street in all parts of town and combs the alleys so finds all kinds of things. I've told him to call me if certain things turn up and I'd buy them from him but he's an unreliable source and I prefer not to think of the things he might pass up because they're some ugly light green color or they have old Italian parts on them.
