Personally, I like the 105 – 5800. I have tried the Sora and, while the it is a fantastic groupset for the price range, the 105 has become my go-to gruppo for new projects. If the build performs well on a 105, then I might think about upgrading to an Ultegra or Dura Ace later on.
If you decide to keep the 105, just keep it well-tuned, clean and well-lubed to minimize the sometimes clunky lever throw.
