I'm new around the forum and I just had some kind of a noob question I guess so i apologize in advance!
I started to ride fix about 7 months ago on a 4130 steel bike that is becoming my winter ride so I'm looking at different frames as a upgrade for next year. I'm mainly commuting and doing 40 or so kilometers about 2 or 3 times a month but I'm looking for a fixed frame. I know i have a lot of options of brands, frames and all of that but i really can't decide... So far I'd like something light (not necessarily aluminum) and cool to ride. A drilled frame would be the only thing I need. So far I got those ones : BLB La piovra AIR ; Engine 11 Vortex ; Breakbrake 17 Transfer ; Colossi Al Colossione ; Cueva Vuelta (but hard to find something about it). I was looking at a Vigorelli as well but I don't think it would be suited for my use (or wallet). Lastly being in Montreal I thought about maybe buying a Marinoni so if anyone has an experience with their frames..( I heard they were good)
Thank you all for your feedback (i didn't wanted to be a noob but i guess I am)
Mariononi is a cool dude. I saw clips from the documentary about him and getting back on the track. I don't know if he is going to be a cheap option unless he is doing fewer custom builds and more production type stuff but I wouldn't mind owning one.
I would probably go with a Surly Steamroller for commuting or of course find a Cinelli Work frame but I like wider tires.
