tiredhands, check out the Spanninga Pixeo tail light. It's made for fender mounting, though it comes with a mount you can use elsewhere. I don't have experience with a fender-mounted headlight yet.
I've had several Spanninga tail lights including the Pixeo and wouldn't recommend them at all. They're all prone to failure and pale in quality compared to the Fenderbot, which not only is brighter, but has far sturdier internal parts. The flimsy sheet metal battery contacts Spanninga uses simply suck, and their on/off switches break as well. I replaced all my Spanningas with Fenderbots last year.
