I don"t have studs but grip has not been an issue . This morning going to work I bombed down Mountain View RD I would slide and have hands on the brakes with the 2.25 studs not this bike. How ever early in the season, on Copper Haul Rd. when it first snowed and melted and refreeze with ruts, handled that ,but over flow from small pot hole lakes and streams in short section of the road was slippery.in October. Temp. was -1 to -4 C. road is higher in elevation than down town whitehorse.
