Went on a rainy ride Thanksgiving and when I came home there was some serious sloshing in the wheels. Pulled the tire off the rim and there was about 1/4 cup of water! This wasn't just a wet inner tube, these things were taking on water like the Titanic.
When I searched "water in rims" for the Archetype rims there were several hits on other forums:

Seems like this is an issue with this particular rim and I'm curious if anyone has found a remedy. I've heard suggestions about drilling the rim, adding silicon to the nipples, and changing the rim tape but no definite solution. These are my winter training wheels and the only way to get the water out is fully removing the tire/tube - which is pretty tedious after every rainy ride. Wondering if I need to relate these to a trainer/spare set and pickup something else? I emailed the company last week and didn't get a response.
