I've got a couple hundred miles on this bike now, a few more observations:
1. Massive aluminum fork + tapered head tube + thru-axels = the fork and front end are very stiff. Probably too stiff for the intended use of this bike. The bike steers well but it should be more compliant than it is in the front end given the massive tires.
2. The internal routing for the rear brake is just stupid. It puts another two holes in the frame to let in water and dirt, it looks weird and it's just not necessary. They should have just routed the brake hose externally on the down tube. This isn't a huge deal but it is genuinely annoying.
3. Just to reemphasize: this bike is STABLE. The abnormally large BB drop for a drop-bar bike means that you have a very low center of gravity. The chainstays are fairly long at 450mm. Combine this frame with the huge roll-over diameter of 700x50 tires and the bike just trucks. I feel like I could ride a 30 mile ride no-handed with this bike. On loose gravel. In the rain.
