Every Fall, I make sure to put fresh gas in the snow blower and the generator and start both up to make sure they are going to work properly. It also seems to make them easier to start later on especially in 0º weather. I also lay in 10 gallons of fresh gas. The generator plugs into the side of the house and can run the furnace (or AC), refrigerator, sump pump, TV, microwave and several lights. If we stay where we are, we're going to install a whole house natural gas generator.

Before we left for Florida, I gassed the blower and the generator so I'm all ready when we return.
