I have a fork that came off of a Trek Emonda that i am trying to use on a frame with a 44mm head tube. The fork is tapered with an integrated crown race (36 degrees, as far as I have been able to find). I am trying to make this fork work with a Cane Creek 110 EC44 lower. The bearing appears to fit correctly, however when the bearing is in the cup, the bottom of the cup rubs on the fork crown.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get this fork to work with a 44mm compatible headset? Thanks.
