Do the right thing and score a V-GT Luxe or maybe an XC (plain old XC) for the RD. The stock Mountech was a dog. The AG Tech is OK- but there's a lot of steel that does rust. I'd go for a Mountech FD if'n it were me..


EDIT- apparently I said the same thing last night...

FWIW- my Stumpjumper Sport came with an M735 Deore XT RD and a Weinmann rim laced to a Deore LX hub. My thought was the stock Mountech blew up around 1992, and the the rear wheel got caught in the carnage.
