Ok, so here is the breakdown.

I am looking for a single speed to ride around town, hit some tracks and get stronger. The latter not really important since I stay active outside of biking but I figured it would be a little help.

Anyway, here are my 2 options I found.

I can get it for $180. I like the 27.5 wheels since it will roll "faster" than a 26 but I am not sure of the quality. Again, trails, jumps and what not. Nothing CRAZY.

I can get it for $50. It has the 26 which I don't mind since I wont be racing anyway. I plan on using the rigid fork while I save up for a better suspension fork. Good idea?

Which bike is the most bang for the buck?

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you

Although my budget is $250, the cheaper the better for my wallet, and I was looking for a single speed too...

you realize the last bike you linked is not single-speed (unless you forget to shift)?
you should define what and why you want for people to help. People use MTB with single speed, but that is a hardcore minority.

Best bang for your buck is the one that does for you what you want and that fits. Neither can be answered by us.
