There's no significant concern. Your front wheel is slightly more prone to locking up because of that spot, but the difference is pretty marginal. All it really means is that you can control your braking as smoothly as with a smooth wheel, but it's only a difference if you're riding very aggressively and trying to brake as late as possible.

Having said that, I personally HATE un-even braking, and would be looking at replacing the wheel. Everyone's standards and budget are completely different though, so you're free to continue riding it.
