Decade after decade, the media bangs the drum and frenzied humans scurry around mostly buying crap others don't really want, in order to receive stuff from others they don't really want. It's all followed a spike in the landfill business and The Hollow Holiday Hangover, when people begin to realize the hype and expense didn't changes their lives in any positive or measurable fashion. It's amusing/sad to watch.
At our house we just do not get caught up in the
'Support Your Local Mall' concept. Although, we do like that during this time of year folks seem to be in a more festive mood. They
even will say "Hi" as we pass by and acknowledge that we occupy some of the space on this large round ball with them.
